At the end of 1998, he went to Madrid to study at the Complutense University and the University of San Pablo (CEU) to familiarize himself with Spanish law and to prepare for his admission as Spanish lawyer (“Abogado”) by obtaining the degree of “Master en Abogacia” from the Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economia (I.S.D.E.) in Barcelona and Madrid.

For more than 15 years he has been working as a lawyer and Abogado in Spain, mainly on Majorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera. As branch manager of a Spanish law firm with an international focus, he legally advised predominantly medium-sized businesses and entrepreneurs, as well as private individuals in their transactions and investments in Spain and especially in the Balearic Islands. Later on, he joined a law office as senior associate. The office based in Palma de Majorca specialised in real-estate law and inheritance law. In the summer of 2017 he founded the German-Spanish law office Guido P. Weiler.

He focuses on national and international civil, commercial and company law, particularly start-ups, as well as real estate and inheritance law.
